Alex Goody | Editor
Alex Goody is Professor of Twentieth-Century Literature and Culture at Oxford Brookes University. She is the author of Modernist Articulations: a cultural study of Djuna Barnes, Mina Loy and Gertrude Stein (2007), Technology, Literature and Culture (2011), and Gender, Leisure Technology and Modernist Poetry: Machine Amusements (2019), and co-editor of American Modernism: Cultural Transactions (2009), Reading Westworld (2019), the Edinburgh Companion to Modernism and Technology (2022) and Beastly Modernisms: The Figure of the Animal in Modernist Literature and Culture (2023). She has been researching and writing on Djuna Barnes for more than two decades.
Xander Ryan | Editor
Xander Ryan is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Associate Lecturer at the University of Reading. He works for the Beckett Digital Manuscript Project, transcribing and encoding the manuscripts of Samuel Beckett’s shorter prose in French and English for a genetic edition. His articles and book chapters include pieces for the James Joyce Quarterly and Samuel Beckett Today / Aujourd’hui. He is currently finishing a book manuscript about modernist letter writing, which focuses on Gustave Flaubert, Joyce, Dorothy Richardson, and Beckett. He brings to the NYJDB project his interests in the more marginal texts of modernist authors and digital editing.
Jack Thacker | Web Developer
Jack Thacker is a Software Engineer who works in education technology. In 2019, he completed a PhD on modern georgic poetry at the University of Bristol and has published scholarly articles and chapters on the poets Ted Hughes and Alice Oswald. His own poetry has appeared in numerous print and online magazines, including Magma, PN Review, Stand, Blackbox Manifold, The Clearing and Caught by the River, as well as on BBC Radio 4. His debut pamphlet-length collection is Handling (Two Rivers Press, 2018).
